The engineering experts at Daanaa have created a charging system unlike any other. Their fully regulated technology combines two prominent charging systems into one. This allows users to charge their light electric vehicles four to five times faster than their wired counterparts — amongst many other benefits.
At the time, Daanaa’s previous branding and digital assets lacked cohesion. The messaging required greater precision, and the overall identity did little to differentiate it from existing competitors and sustainability-focused startups.
The overall logo needed to convey power transfer and charging in a clean, simple way. The power bolt, synonymous with the concept of charging, was a logical choice. The charging bar around the power bolt was created to showcase Daanaa’s rapid power transfer capabilities.
The orientation of the filled-in charging bar and the power bolt made them look like a “D” and “N” respectively. Each individual charge shown in the logo represents an “A”. Conceptually, the brand mark as a whole not only showcases fast-charging, but it also spells out the company’s name itself.
The company’s ethos seeks to balance creativity and tech-savviness. The wordmark, written in Founders Grotesk, is ripe with character, creativity and levity, which balances well against the brand mark’s cleanliness. GT America Mono Light was chosen because of its inventive and accessible appeal, while GT American Light provided a refined and technical touch.
Daanaa provides more than just power; the company is leading a revolution that brings freedom and safety to the wireless world. The founders and staff are guided daily by this revolutionary spirit, something they hope to instill in communities around the world. The company’s tagline relays precisely this spirit to its target audience.

The website’s design and digital assets needed to mirror the company ethos. The information on the website was in some instances highly technical, which required some counterbalancing in order to be relevant and appealing. Playful illustrations about Daanaa’s technology would provide an easy way for users to see how the technology works. The iconography, serving as a succinct guide about the technology, would adhere to the company’s colour palette as well.
From the brand identity, to the website, to the business cards, Daanaa’s overall aesthetic continues to differentiate it amongst industry competitors.
